Danny Satterfield Drywall Corporation completed the structural and interior framing and drywall package for the Club 1861 Event Center at the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson, Kansas. This facility serves as a premier gathering space during the annual Kansas State Fair and hosts events throughout the year.
Our scope included metal stud framing, insulation installation, drywall hanging and finishing, acoustical ceiling systems, FRP wall panels, and acoustical wall and ceiling panels. One unique aspect of the project involved installing insulation in attic areas where drywall was not applied. To ensure the insulation remained properly positioned over time, our team utilized chicken wire as a retention system—an effective solution that demonstrates the practical problem-solving often required on complex projects.
The completed space provides a durable, high-quality interior designed to support large gatherings and community events for years to come.
